Beekeeping Academy
Discover the wonderful world of the bee through hands-on activities for young and old.
The Beekeeping Academy is our first educational initiative, created from the love and dedication we have for bees. We want to convey to people of all ages their profound importance for the environment, the food chain, and the preservation of life on the planet.
“Bees are the architects of abundance, teaching us that there is no short path to success – only hard work, dedication, perseverance, and above all, collaboration.”

The beekeeping experience
The program includes an introduction to the beekeeping profession, pollination, the structure of the beehive, observation of the bee colony's function, and an understanding of the production process for honey and other products like wax, pollen, and propolis. Children discover how an organized community works, the role of each of its members, and how pollinators affect biodiversity, agriculture, and the food chain.
They become familiar with the beekeeper's equipment, watch how honey is extracted, and participate in making various bee products. Depending on the season, they create candles from honeycomb sheets, natural beeswax balms with herbs, beeswax wraps, and room fresheners, learning how the raw material is utilized with care and respect. Through contact with the bees, children develop empathy, ecological awareness, and respect for the small organisms that sustain the life around us.
As part of our collaboration with Pierce – The American College of Greece, beehives have been installed on the school grounds, giving students the opportunity to safely observe the life of a real bee colony up close. Through targeted activities, the children inspect the hives, learn the basic tasks of a beekeeper, monitor the colony's development throughout the seasons, and understand how environmental conditions affect production.
Furthermore, students actively participate in the honey harvest process, collecting the honey safely and with respect for the bees. This experience allows the children to witness the entire journey, from observation to production, and to deeply understand the value of every single drop of honey.
